Basic information for the prevention of H1N1 disease:

(a) The following information I have written in my book on "Human Diseases" should prove very useful:

p.187: Immunity against virus diseases.
p.141: Common Cold.
p.171: German Measles
p.232. Shingles
p.246. Virus Diseases.
p. 115: Body Heat or Heaty Body.
p.35. Table-1: Diseases that may develop in relation to acidity.

All the above are very much relevant to H1N1 disease. They would only take very little time to read.

(b) Besides the above, the following should prove useful as well:

* Keeping awake late-nights is not very good. Likewise, over-working (far too much of working until your body is totally exhausted) is not good. Starving without eating food is not good for this disease. Strenuous exercises are not good, as it would make the body acidic.

* Avoid consuming ACID foods, fruits and drinks. Examples of this: buah kundang, rambai, macang, mango, duku langsat, rambutan (a few ok), mangosteen (very few, ok), durian (not too much), green belimbing used for cooking (sweet buah belimbing, ok), strongly sourish Durian Belanda (sour sop) (sweet sour-sop, ok), sour plums, Roselle drink, Assam Jawa drink (using Assam Jawa for cooking, ok), (oranges, pomelo and lemons are ok, since they contain plenty of potassium), sour pineapple (a little of sweet pineapple, ok), China-imported tit-bits that taste sour: e.g., sourkana, sour orange skin, sour lemon skin, sour ginger, sour-tasting Bayam (pulicha keerai, in Tamil), etc., Generally rice and rice-based foods are good. All those bottled drinks that may contain citric acid (or any other acid or preservatives) should be avoided. Foods cooked 2 or 3 days ago (i.e., old food), if not sterilised properly) should not be eaten as well. This is especially true if the curry contains dhor dhall, kacang hijau (green gram), kacang tanah (groundnut), etc. Must avoid eating chocolates, ALL forms of nuts including groundnuts, pistachio, almond, etc. should not be eaten in large quantities / frequently (A few added to foods can be eaten).

* Better to eat: dragon fruit, sweet apples, honey melon, water melon, pears, bananas, cucumber, onions, pumpkin, grey 'pumpkin' (Poosanikkai, in Tamil), loofa (Peerkangai in Tamil), Drinking coconut water (and its meat) on alternate days (during day time and not by night) is good. Coconut water can be taken daily if one is travelling around, or is enggaged in strenuous physical work.

*The fruits of Sea Coconut (Borassus flaberllifers) is EXCELLENT if a person has already contracted the disease. It will give immediate cure. Now, it is available in supermarkets in canned forms: they call it Sea Coconut, imported from Thailand or Singapore : white syrup or gula Melaka preparation: both are OK. (Uninfected people can also eat this for prevention: dosage: just 2 or 3 pieces only in the mornings on alternate days, until the hot season changes.

* If infected, one should bathe 3 or 4 times a day in cool tap water. (Hot water is bad).

* Once infected, the person should eat RICE and rice-based foods, and should avoid high protein diet, chicken, soybean (all kinds), oily foods, Wheat items are not good. Powdered milk, papaya and other acid fruits mentioned above should be avoided altogether.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All the above should NOT be continued forever. Do all the above only for a month or so, until the HOT season changes. After that, should eat ALL things in moderation.

Kek prune kukus

Last month aku balik kampung sempena 'kempen Buah-buahan Tempatan' di rumah FIL aku kat Pekan. Kebetulan plak kaklong buat kek kukus ni...punya la sedap...nak ku balun abis, kang ada plak kakak ipar sound 'buruk makan sungguh adik ipar ku ini' kekekeke.. untuk memuaskan hati dan tekakku, aku mintak resepi kat kaklong. Ambik dr blog kak ummi kuantan katanya...cubalah...memang sedap, lembut n lemak2 manis.

Bahan:
250gram butter
2 cawan tepung naik sendiri
1 cawan gula
1\2 tin susu pekat
20 biji prune (blend dgn sedikit air)
5 biji telur
5 biji prunes (hiris kasar)

caranyer:
- Didihkan air dalam kukusan, griskan loyang.
- Putar butter bersama gula n susu hingga sebati.
- Kemudian masukkan telur satu persatu sambil putar.
- Masukkan prune yang diblend tadi. Kacau rata.
- kemudian masukkan tepung sedikit demi sedikit..putar sebati.

Sebabnya kukus aku jenis yg lebar tp x tinggi. So, takut la kang naik tinggi terlanggar plak penutup kukusan tu...mesti x cantikkan..Tauke kata, naik tp x tinggi sangat..aku pikir balik, apa bhn yg blh menyebabkan dia akan naik..baca balik resepi, barulah terperasan 'TEPUNG NAIK SENDIRI'. Pap! Tepuk dahi..Aku keluarkan balik bancuhan yg dah ready dlm loyang, masukkan dalam mangkuk, curah 1sdt baking powder. Kacau2 n kukus. Alhamdulillah menjadi..bw opis sbb ada Tea Club giliran group aku. Tp aku buat 3/4 adunan aku kukus, lagi 1/4, aku saje test bakar..makan esok harinya, mmg sedap. Klu bakar kek2 begini (kek buah/kek lapis), dinasihatkan jgn makan terus masa dia panas2. Sbb dia mcm keras gitu. So, simpan dulu 1 mlm ke 7/8jam ke, pastu tgk balik kek tu..kek tu akan lembap. Br la syok utk dihidangkan..

Resepi asal aku x ingat sapa punya..tp aku ambik ni dr blog favorite aku - K.Ummi Kuantan.. Akak ni mmg pro masak..simple2 je tp masakan dia mmg best..meh la cuba..En.Asben kata sedap..heheheheAku x ikut sukatan sebenarnya. Main campak2 je but still follow the recepi ingredients n steps. Bila tgk, cara dia lebih kurang mcm buat butter prawn tp yg ni x de guna telur..

Bahan2nya:
Udang
Serbuk kunyit
Daun kari (setangkai je cukup)
Butter (dlm 2sdb)
Nestum secukupnya
gula + garam

Caranya:
- Bersihkan udang dan gaul dengan serbuk kunyit + garam. Goreng seketika dan ketepikan.
- Cairkan butter dan masukkan daun kari. Apabila daun kari agak2 garing gitu, masukkan udang, nestum, gula, garam. Gaul seketika dan blhlah diangkat.
- Bau dia mmg harum n sedap. Cubalah!

Lemongrass Chicken

Dengan izin....ceh mcm ayat kat Dewan Negara plak..aku tepek gambar and resepi ni yg di C&P dari blog secubitgaram kak nor, Terengganu..meh la cuba...sedap tau..tengkiu kak nor sudi share resepi ni ngan rakyat jelata..:D

Bahan-bahannya:

4 keping chicken thigh and leg (Aku bedal je apa yg ada dlm fridge)

8 biji bawang merah - ditumbuk atau dicincang

2 batang serai

1 camt serbuk jintan putih

1 camt serbuk kunyit

1 camt serbuk ketumbar

2 camb gula perang

garam secukup rasa

1 camb sunflower oil atau apa2 minyak masak

(Untuk ibu2 yg 'rajin' seperti sy, campur je sume bahan tu, pastu masukkan minyak n blend all together. Terus siap. Minyak tu mmg aku lebihkan sikit sbb blender tu x leh jalan plak bila kering sgt.
